Southeast Florida is expected to have 3 million more people, 1.3 million more homes, and 2.1 million more jobs. This project asked: “How do we develop the region moving and avoid high commute times and increased congestion? In addition to the jobs in tourism and agriculture, how do we compete as a region in such a way that attracts talent and insures high-paying, secure employment?” Dover Kohl and Associates in conjunction with the Southeast Florida Regional Partnership conducted this project to explore different scenarios for growth and development in the seven counties of Southeast Florida for the next 50 years and beyond.

MetroQuest was used online and on iPads during a kick off summit of 700 community members to collect community input on priorities, provide input about choices about how the community should grow and to explore resulting scenarios from each of these choices. In conjunction with the three project summits and several public events, MetroQuest was able to collect feedback from over 1,000 respondents in just a few weeks increasing the depth and breadth of the overall engagement and to help the Southeast Florida Regional Partnership choose its preferred growth scenario.

“Terrific. Well done and thanks for your efforts to make the online modeller a huge success. Thank you MetroQuest! MetroQuest allowed Southeast Florida partnership [to] communicate the relevancy, importance and challenges to seek consensus about the future vision for a seven county community.”

“MetroQuest was great to deal with from meeting them during the sales process through a close working relationship with their project implementation team. They delivered under [an] extremely challenging time deadline and on time for our public summit which was the pivot point for the entire project.”
