We’re obsessed about delivering the best public engagement experiences online because we believe public input can help us move more people and make our cities better places for us to live, work, and play.
We are digital public engagement pioneers. Since first meeting in 1993 as grad students at the University of British Columbia, our founders Mike Walsh and Dave Biggs have been obsessing about community engagement technology. In 1997, the duo founded Envision Sustainability Tools, a software firm devoted to providing the most effective tools to engage the public in planning their urban and transportation future.
In the early days, our team attended public meetings and set up polling keypads connected to custom software. As the Internet grew in popularity, we were first to develop web-based public engagement software to broaden outreach, marking the birth of MetroQuest.
From early keypads to today’s leading SAAS tool for public surveys, MetroQuest has remained at the forefront of digital public engagement. Our team is dedicated to perfecting the art and science of great public engagement. We love it when clients pull us aside at conferences to tell us how much they love MetroQuest. It happens a lot!
We envision a world where all people have access to better places to live, work, and play, because they were engaged in the planning process. We believe that everyone has a voice, and that together, we can plan better, more sustainable, and inclusive communities.
Our mission is to deliver great online public engagement experiences that broaden outreach and bring people together to plan more livable places and move more people.
We don’t like to boast. Instead, we’re happy to share these awards so you can feel comfortable choosing a survey solution and company that’s been recognized by others in our industry as among the best for online public engagement.
